MISSING/WANTED ADD/UPDATE

The Missing/Wanted Add/Update screen allows the user to add or update information for a juvenile reported missing or wanted.  The purpose of this screen is to record all pertinent information related to the juvenile that will facilitate in identifying and locating this individual.  This will include the juvenile’s name, physical descriptors (e.g. height, weight, hair color, skin tone, tattoos, etc.), residential address, APB number, and a miscellaneous field to record additional notes.  Information from Special Information flags will display if they exist.

DESCRIPTION OF FIELDS

  • JJIS ID – the unique identifier for the juvenile in JJIS.
  • POLICE ID – the unique identifier assigned by the reporting police agency.
  • NCIC – the juvenile’s NCIC number.
  • LAST NAME – the last name of the juvenile.
  • FIRST  – the first name of the juvenile.
  • MIDDLE  – the middle name of the juvenile.
  • ADDRESS – the juvenile’s reported residential street address.
  • CITY – the city for the corresponding street address.
  • STATE – the state for the corresponding street address; and abbreviation is displayed (e.g. HI for Hawaii).
  • ZIP – the zip code for the corresponding street address.
  • PHONE – the juvenile’s residential phone number.
  • DOB – the juvenile’s date of birth.
  • SJO – a display field indicating if the juvenile is a serious juvenile offender.
  • ETHNICITY – at least 1 ethnicity code for the juvenile must be entered; up to 5 total entries can be made; and abbreviation is displayed (e.g. CA for Caucasian).  Show me a complete list.
  • AGE – the juvenile’s current age.
  • APPR – the total number of offenses for the juvenile in JJIS.
  • PHYSICAL DESC AS OF DATE – entered by the user to indicate the date a change was made to the juvenile’s physical descriptor fields.  For a new case the date will default to the current date.
  • SEX – the juvenile’s sex code; an abbreviation is displayed (e.g. M for male).
  • FINGERPRINT – Y or N to indicate if the juvenile has been fingerprinted.
  • HEIGHT – the juvenile’s height entered in 3 digits (e.g. 602 for 6 feet 2 inches).  Enter 000 if unknown.
  • WEIGHT – the juvenile’s weight entered in 3 digits (e.g. 095 for 95 lbs).  Enter 000 if unknown.
  • SKIN TONE – the juvenile’s skin tone; an abbreviation is displayed (e.g. FAR for fair).  Show me the complete list.
  • SSN – the juvenile’s social security number.
  • PHOTOGRAPH – Y or N to indicate if the juvenile has been photographed.
  • EYES – the juvenile’s eye color; and abbreviation is displayed (e.g. BLU for blue).  Enter xxx if unknown.  Show me the complete list.
  • HAIR – the juvenile’s hair color; and abbreviation is displayed (e.g. BLK for black).  Enter xxx if unknown.  Show me a complete list.
  • BUILD – the juvenile’s build; and abbreviation is displayed (e.g. HVY for heavy).  Enter xxx if unknown.  Show me the complete list.
  • US CITIZEN – indicates if the juvenile is a U.S. citizen.
  • FLAGS – Y or N to indicate if the juvenile has any open Special Information flags.
  • SCARS/MARKS – any identifying marks or physical characteristics the juvenile possesses; and abbreviation is displayed (e.g. CRIP R FOOT for crippled right foot).  Show me complete list.
  • DESCRIPTION – additional entry describing corresponding SCARS/MARKS.
  • SCHOOL – the school the juvenile is attending; and abbreviation is displayed.  Show me the complete list.
  • M/W STATUS – the missing or wanted status type (e.g. RUN, MIS, ESC, etc.); and abbreviation is displayed.  Show me the complete list.
  • DATE – the date the juvenile is reported to be missing or wanted.
  • POL RPT – the police report number.
  • CLSD DATE – the date the case is closed; usually refers to the date the juvenile is found or arrested.
  • APB – the All Points Bulletin ID assigned to the case.
  • MISC – a note field for additional information (e.g. last seen in Waikiki wearing a green t-shirt and black shorts).
  • LAST UPDATE – the date the case was last updated.
