- Access & Review – Fingerprints are required for an individual to request a copy of their full arrest record for the State of Hawaii. This request is intended for individuals to access and review their arrest record for personal use and shall not be disseminated to a third party.

- Office Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. The office will be closed for lunch from 12:00pm – 1:00pm, and will also be closed on State Holidays
- Payments: NO CASH ACCEPTED. Accepted payment methods are Credit, Debit, Apple Pay, Money Order or Cashiers Check (payable to “State of Hawaii”). Payments made by Credit, Debit, Apple Pay will accrue a 3% non-refundable service fee.

- Wrongful Use of Name/Social Security Number – At the time of an arrest, offenders provide demographic information that may include a social security number entered into the system by the arresting agency. For individuals who have been made aware that their social security number is associated with a State of Hawaii arrest record, fingerprints are required for the HCJDC to verify whether the arrest record in question belongs to the individual, in addition to providing a valid photo ID and the original social security card.

- Fingerprint Card Services – The Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center (HCJDC) provides 2 different types of fingerprinting card services: 1. Digital Roll and 2. Ink Roll. Please view each roll description to see what best suits your needs. To protect the integrity of the fingerprints, the completed fingerprint card(s) will not be returned to you but mailed to its final destination directly from the HCJDC.
- Digital roll: The Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center (HCJDC) electronically captures rolled and plain fingerprint images and may print them on a hard copy fingerprint card. The completed fingerprint card is comparable to the FD-258 FBI Applicant Card. Please consult with the entity requesting your fingerprints on whether the fingerprint card provided by the HCJDC is acceptable. The HCJDC does not electronically submit fingerprints to requesting entities.
- Ink Roll: The applicant will need to supply the fingerprint card(s) that may have been provided to you (no paper copy; card stock cards accepted).

- At the time of your appointment, you will be required to bring a 9×13 manila size envelope that is self-addressed, postage paid and include a return mailing address. (HCJDC does not provide tracking information nor does HCJDC schedule pickup if providing other mail carrier envelopes such as FedEx, DHL or UPS services). Any supporting documents/payments that needs to be included with the fingerprint cards will need to be completed and placed in the provided envelope.
